History

The name, Talia Byre, is a tribute to our great uncle's boutique, Lucinda Byre, which was a community for many during its tenure on Bold Street, Liverpool (1964-1982). Our hope is to build Talia Byre with that same spirit.

Many of the previous generations of the family worked in the store, which on Bold Street held a bistro upstairs and was immortalised in the 2014 song by Michael Head & The Red Elastic Band. Across the decades the store held a range of emerging to established designers in addition to its own line of knitwear.

We love hearing your Lucinda Byre stories and have been lucky enough to hear about the garments that have frequented many past weddings and birthdays.
